ACC May sales up 3% to 2.05 MT

Cement manufacturer Ltd today reported a just 3% increase in sales for the month of May at 2.05 million tonnes against 1.99 million tonnes in the same month last year.

The production of the company also went up marginally to 2.02 million tonnes from 2.01 million tonnes, it said in a release.

Cumulative sales of the company during the January-May period of the current year stood at 10.83 million tonnes over 10.26 million tonnes in the corresponding period last year.

Production grew by 0.60 million tonnes to 10.89 million tonnes during the period.

ACC's scrips today closed at Rs 1,126.95 apiece at the BSE, down 1.16% over the previous day's closing.
