Flip Me, which is already available on other mobile operating systems such as Android, is the first mobile trading application that allows users to place orders both on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The app boasts of features like multiple market watch views, dynamic real time charts and portfolio information. Users will be able to place orders for both cash as well as derivatives segment and view their order book through this application.

“Flip Me is one among the first financial service applications from India that is available on the Windows Store. At present we have a robust client base using our Flip Me mobile services and the launch of our Windows 8 application is yet another effort by Geojit BNP Paribas to ensure that the widest possible spectrum of clients can access the markets with greater ease and trade hassle free,” said A. Balakrishnan, CTO of Geojit BNP Paribas.

Currently, less than 1% of these days is generated from hand-held devices. However, increase in sales of smartphones coupled with drop in data charges for 3G is expected to give a big push to mobile trading.
