Cad B plans 150 new outlets by next fiscal

Cad B- the branded chain of for chocolate drink and other varieties from the Pune-based A P Confectionary Pvt Ltd (APCPL), is planning to open 150 new franchisee outlets at select major cities across the country by the end of the next FY 2011-12.

The company is also planning to introduce sugar free chocolate drink for diabetic patients in the coming few months. The company, which already has two outlets in Nashik, is planning another two new outlets in Nashik by September 2010.

Presently, has 50 franchisee outlets, including 20 in Pune and rest of the outlets are located in Mumbai, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Ahmednagar, Nashik, Kolhapur, Karad in Maharashtra as well as in Bangalore, Vapi, Jodhpur and Indore.

Cad B includes the drinks Cad B, Cad M, White Cad, Roasted almond Cad, Éclair Cad, Coconut Milk Cad, Walnut Cad, Cad B Sneaker, & different tastes of Ice-creams, milk shakes and Mastani. All the products are made at company’s facility in Pune.

“As part of our expansion plans, we are planning to open 150 new franchisee outlets in the next one-and-a-half year. So far, the company has identified some locations, including Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Maisoor, Hubali, Hyderabad, Vishakhapatnam Nashik, Solapur, Satara, Baramati and Nanded. Each outlet will have built-up area between 300 and 500 sq ft,” Ameet Pahilani, Director, APCPL, told Business Standard, during his visit to Nashik.

“The diabetic patients too can enjoy using sugar free chocolates as we are planning to manufacture this new product, shortly. In addition, Cad B outlets will also make ‘Chocolate Sandwiches and Brownies,” Pahilani added.
