Chennai-based Education Support Services Company EdServ and Amazon.com, the world's largest online retailer have tied up to provide EdServ's 2tionPlus Educational apps at Amazon App Stores worldwide, EdServ said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Edserv said that after going through Amazon's stringent global test and meeting with the global retailer's quality standards, Amazon approved the presense of EdServ's app in its App stores.

Through this tie up, EdServ's content can be downloaded on any Android Tab. While downloading and installing 2tionPlus is free, the users will have to pay a fee for the premium content available on EdServ's alternate website, Lampsglow.com, the filing with the BSE said.

This tie up with Amazon.com follows EdServ's tie up last year with global mobile brands such as Blackberry, Nokia and Samsung to make its wide range of educational content available on smartphones.

According to the release, over 50% of overall users of EdServ's education content are from the mobile segment.
