GMR Airports Holdings gets Rs 585 cr from clutch of investors

<p>GMR Infrastructure today said a clutch of investors, including Standard Chartered Private Equity (Mauritius) III Ltd, have invested Rs 584.6 crore in its subsidiary GMR Airports Holding.

In a notification to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), GMR Infrastructure said that the investors have invested in GMR Airports Holding in the form of subscription to Compulsory Convertible Preference shares.

Apart from Standard Chartered Private Equity (Mauritius) III Ltd, the other investors are JM Financial-Old Lane India Corporate Opportunities Fund I Ltd, JM Financial Trustee Company Pvt Ltd, JM Financial Products Ltd and Build India Capital Advisors LLP.

GMR Infrastructure is an infrastructure holding company formed to fund the capital requirements of the GMR Group's initiatives in the sector. It is engaged in development of various infrastructure projects through several special purpose vehicles.

The GMR Infrastructure scrip today closed at Rs 32.75 a share at the BSE, down 0.76 per cent over the previous day's close.
