Mobile advertisement is a market waiting to explode and will see at least a 6-10 times growth in revenue generation in the next three-years, an industry expert said today.

"Though the market-size of mobile advertisements is comparatively smaller, it is a market waiting to explode. In the next three-years we expect an overall 6-10 times growth in this market," Google's Country Manager--Business Development, Mahesh Narayanan, said on the sidelines of a seminar conducted by United Business Media (UBM) here.

"We see a humongous growth opportunity in this market. In a couple of years, when better devices, better connectivity at lower costs comes in, especially when 3G opens up, the market will grow like anything," he said.

Google saw a traffic of mobile ads from 500-million a month to 3.1-billion a month on mobile web in the last 12- months, he said.

Android, a mobile-based software developed by Google, is a huge success and a million android devices is activated every five days globally, Narayanan said.

Giving an introduction to cutting-edge technologies in mobile advertising in India, Technology For Marketing & Advertising (TFM&A), a technology event management segment of UBM which conducts close to 300 such events globally every year, is organising its first such event in Mumbai on May 13 and 14, 2011, UBM India Managing Director, Sanjeev Khaira, said.
