Monier to set up new plant in Mumbai region

The Monier Group, a major supplier of roofing products, has decided to set up a new concrete tile plant in Mumbai region as part of plans to strengthen its presence in Asia.

The plant is scheduled to start operations next year and initial work has already begun, the company said in a statement here.

Monier India currently operates a concrete tile plant in Bangalore and a glazing  facility for clay tiles in Calicut in Kerala.

The new semi-automated plant will focus on manufacturing Monier’s range of tiles and fittings.
