Nalco Foundation pays Rs 2 cr advance for ITI

B L Bagra, Chairman, Nalco Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of navratna PSU National Aluminium Company Limited (Nalco) has handed over an advance cheque of Rs 2 crore for establishment of an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) to B K Patnaik, state chief secretary. The aluminum major has decided to sponsor the ITI, to be established at Marichamal in tribal-dominated Damanjodi of Koraput district, at an estimated cost of Rs 4.08 crore. The Directorate of Technical Education & Training-Odisha (DTE&T) has accorded approval for the establishment of the institute. The land required for this purpose shall be provided by the district administration, Nalco Foundation has consented to bear the infrastructure cost.
