Numeric Power Systems Limited, a Chennai-based UPS manufacturer, is planning to focus on the green energy products market. Besides, it is looking at getting into manufacturing of light-emitting diode (LED) fixtures as volumes grow, at a later stage, said company’s managing director R Chellappan.

“We are currently marketing these products under our brand name. But, as the volumes grow, the operations will be looked after by a subsidiary company which was launched recently – Numeric Solar Energy Private Limited,” he told mediapersons here on Friday.

The green energy products that Numeric Power currently offers include LED lighting system for indoor and outdoor applications, solar street lighting systems and LED decorative lighting systems.

Of the total revenues of Rs 427 crore garnered last year, about 90 per cent was from the sale of UPS products while support product sales accounted for the rest, he added.

Numeric Power currently enjoys a 16 per cent share in the organised UPS segment, which is currently pegged at between Rs 1,500 crore and Rs 1,800 crore.
