Piramal Healthcare Q1 net at Rs 89 cr

Piramal Healthcare today said it had posted a net profit of Rs 89.23 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 80.74 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, Piramal Healthcare said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Net sales of the company stood at Rs 440.98 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011. It was Rs 842.21 crore for the corresponding last fiscal.

The results for the quarter ended June 30, 2011 are not comparable to the previous quarter on account of sales in the domestic formulations business to Abbott Healthcare and diagnostic services to Super Religare, Piramal Healthcare said.

Shares of Piramal Healthcare today closed at Rs 380.65 on the BSE, down 0.31% from its previous close.
