Porsche eyes over 100 orders from Gujarat

With the luxury segment in cars growing steadily in Gujarat, Private Limited is eyeing over 100 orders from its newly launched showroom in Ahmedabad. With the opening of Ahmedabad, the luxury sports car brand has added its sixth showroom in the country.

"Ahmedabad and Surat are very strong markets in Gujarat. In fact, the whole of Gujarat offers a good opportunity for the luxury segment in automobiles. Plus, in India, the average life span of a luxury car for an Indian customer is just two years. While we have received 20 orders so far in Ahmedabad, by December 2012 we expect to do sales in triple digits from Gujarat," said Ashish Chordia, Chief Executive of Private Limited.

The Ahmedabad will provide customers across Gujarat with an unparalleled experience through this state-of-the-art facility. Along with New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai and Chandigarh, this becomes the overall sixth in India and the second in the western part of the country.

Apart from a 4,200 sq ft of showroom space with five sales consultants being permanently available for visitor enquiries, the facility also offers a 30,000 sq ft service area to ensure after sales service experience. Now completed, the site is home to the entire Porsche product range, including the most popular model – the Porsche Cayenne.

While last year Porsche did around 134 deliveries, this year it expects to do sales of around 300 by December 2011 in India.
