Reliance Jewels plans 50 new stores in two years

Reliance Jewels, a chain of jewellery stores run by Reliance Retail Ltd (RRL), is planning to open 50 new stores at select locations across the country in the next two years.

Presently, Reliance Jewels has 22 stores in 17 cities across the country, including 3 stores in Mumbai, one each in Pune and Nashik. Reliance Jewels stores have total retail space of around 88,000 sq ft.

"As part of our expansion plans, we are planning to open 50 new stores in the next two years and each Reliance Jewels store will cover retail space of 4,000 sq. ft. Most of the stores will be opened in those cities where we already have Reliance Jewels stores. This is a part of company policy to strengthen our base there," said Darshan Thakkar, regional head (western region), Reliance Jewels. Thakkar was in Nashik for the launch of its new collection 'Utsav'. However, he avoided divulging more details.

Reliance Jewels stores offer the widest range of designs in gold, diamond and bridal jewellery, selected from every corner of the country to suit the customers discerning tastes. Reliance Jewels has introduced several new designs in gold and diamond jewellery, which include Kundan, Polki, Vilandi, Ruby Emerald, Amritsari Jadau, Kolkata Filigree, designer Antique, Bridal Collection and exclusive Diamond Jewellery.

"Reliance Jewels has just launched new ‘Utsav’ collection across all stores. The ‘Utsav’ designs, ranging from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 20 lakh, are available across gold, diamond and bridal jewellery giving customers a wide range of necklaces, earrings, pendants, finger rings and bracelets to select from," Thakkar said.
