<p>Canada-based Inc, a provider of interactive whiteboards and technology solutions in the education space, is targeting to reach 5,000 teachers in India in the next one year through its ‘Smart professional development programme’.

Launching the programme in Hyderabad on Thursday, , country manager (education consulting), said, “Currently, we have reached 3,000 teachers across nine cities in the country. We are looking to educate another 2,000 teachers in the next 12 months across 30 cities.” “In India, unless the teachers are trained on some particular technology, the adoption of the technology remains low. So, we have taken up this initiative,” he said. The programme is focused on the need to train teachers on the use of interactive educational technology tools.
