Sobha completes phase I of Dell facility
| Sobha Developers, a Bangalore-based real estate developer, has completed the phase I construction of Dell's manufacturing facility at Sriperumbadur in Tamil Nadu.

| According to Lt Gen Mathew Mammem, executive director, Sobha Developers, "The phase I construction for Dell constituted an office block of 40,000 sft, a computer manufacturing plant of 60,000 sft and other service buildings. The total infrastructure works for the 50-acre campus of Dell was also completed by the company."

| Dell has planned a five-year investment of $30 million (about Rs 120 crore) and expects an initial capacity in Chennai to be four lakh desktop computers per annum.

| Last year, Sobha bagged the Rs 22.71 crore construction order from Dell to build a manufacturing unit and an office block of 1 lakh sq ft.

| Sobha Developers, through the contractual project management division, has undertaken the other projects for companies like Infosys, HP, Timken, Taj and RMZ Corporation. |
