Tata Starbucks, the 50:50 joint venture between Starbucks Coffee Company and Tata Global Beverages, has finally stepped into Delhi, opening the first of its stores at Terminal 3 of New Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI).

Suitably located in the Domestic Terminal’s Gate 27 and International Terminal’s Gate 15, the stores will open doors to the travelers today, at 5 pm, and tomorrow at 3:30 pm, the company said. With this launch, Starbucks forays into a new market segment and expands the number of stores it has in the country. Currently, the company has four stores in Mumbai.

Avani Saglani Davda, CEO, Tata Starbucks Limited said, “The launch at the IGI Airport in New Delhi is consistent with our commitment to work thoughtfully to open stores in locations where our customers want and expect us to be. We look forward to extending the unique Starbucks Experience and meeting the increasing demand for high quality coffee within travel channels in India.

Besides providing a relaxed atmosphere for travellers, Starbucks will offer a differentiated breakfast menu at the outlets, Saglani said.
