Suzlon commissioned 900 MW wind energy projects in FY16

Nearly 520 MW, more than half of the total commissioning, happened during the fourth quarter of the fiscal

Suzlon commissioned 900 MW wind energy projects in FY16

solutions provider Group has commissioned 900 MW projects during the financial year 2015-16, of which 520 MW was commissioned in Q4 FY16.

The projects were executed for a variety of customers including Independent Power Producers (IPPs), Public Sector Units (PSUs) and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

The S97 120m hybrid tower, the company’s newest product variant, constituted 31% (134 wind turbines) of its total commissioned capacity. With the commissioning in FY16, Suzlon’s installations cumulative installations in India reached 9.50 GW.

Group, chairman Tulsi Tanti said that the commissioning of 900 MW amounts to a more than 100% increase in installations compared with 442 MW installed during the financial year 2014-15 (FY15).
