Tata Autocomp, Katcon enter into JV for exhaust systems

The 50:50 venture will offer solutions for both the hot end and cold end of the exhaust system of vehicles

Auto componant maker Systems Limited and Global have signed a 50:50 agreement to provide exhaust systems and emission after-treatment systems to the Indian

The JV will be focused on designing and delivering exhaust systems and emission after-treatment solutions to the Indian The range would cover cutting edge exhaust solutions for passenger cars, utility vehicles, medium and heavy commercial vehicles, buses, farm and off-road vehicles. The product offering will include solutions for both the hot end and cold end of the exhaust system of the vehicle.


Ajay Tandon, managing director & CEO of Systems Limited said,“This partnership with will expand our portfolio to now bring the latest in exhaust and emission after treatment solutions to the Indian ” “As the Indian automotive market evolves, automotive manufacturers in all segments will have to upgrade their emission systems to meet the rising Indian and global standards. Through this JV we will be offering our customers exhaust systems and emission after treatment solutions that are designed to meet Euro V and Euro VI norms,” Arvind Goel, president, COO & CTO, Systems said,  Carlos Turner, CEO of Global said, “The combination of  Katcon’s expertise in exhaust systems and emission after-treatment and Tata AutoComp’s knowledge of the Indian market provides both an opportunity for growth.”

The JV will be headquartered in Pune.
