Tata Power to supply power in Jamshedpur through SPV

Tata Power today said it will supply power in Jamshedpur through a newly-instated Special Purpose Company -- TP Power Distribution Ltd.

"Tata Power has formed a Special Purpose Company -- TP Power Distribution Limited -- to execute the Distribution Franchisee Agreement (DFA) with Jharkhand State Electricity Board (JSEB) for the Distribution Franchise of Jamshedpur circle," a company statement said.

"TP Power Distribution will be responsible for operating and maintaining the distribution network in the Jamshedpur circle, which includes Jamshedpur, Adityapur, Ghatsila and Baharagora areas. It will also be managing the billing and collections," the statement added.

"At Tata Power, we are committed to providing our customers reliable and quality power teamed with superior customer service. We are looking forward to adopting the same philosophy to serve all customers in Jamshedpur," S Padmanabhan, executive director, Tata Power said in the statement.
