TiE Hyd to conduct 'Start-up SmashUP’ on Feb 17

The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Hyderabad chapter, the local chapter of the global TiE entrepreneurial network, in association with Microsoft ThinkNext, is organising its edition of ‘Start-up SmashUP’ on February 17 in Hyderabad.

The day-long event will bring the early stage startups, aspiring entrepreneurs, business leaders, incubation centers, angel investors and venture capitals under one platform to provide support for extensive networking, peer-group relationship building, mentoring and in funding activities.

The event allows the entrepreneurs to present their ideas to the investor community. Of all the start-ups that apply, 10 will be shortlisted by members from Hyderabad Angels and TiE Incubator Investment Committee, according to a release.

Mukund Mohan, serial entrepreneur and chief executive officer of Microsoft Accelerator and Vasudeva Varma, chief executive of IIIT-H Foundation (incubator) will be the key speakers, according to a release.

The event will also have a 'start-up boot camp' session. It will have panel discussions from topics ranging from the art of pitching, sources of seed funding, early stage go-to-market strategy and expansion.

The forum, which is also open for individuals who see themselves as prospect entrepreneurs, is being conducted once in every quarter. The previous  ‘Start-up SmashUP’ event saw participation of around 100 start-ups.
