Tulip Telecom bags Rs 74-cr order from Tamil Nadu govt

The company will provide end-to-end connectivity to 2,000 offices in the state

Enterprise data services provider Tulip Telecom today said it has bagged a deal worth over Rs 74 crore from the Tamil Nadu government for providing end-to-end connectivity to 2,000 offices in the state.

Through this e-Governance initiative awarded by from Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited (ELCOT), Tulip will provide network infrastructure to connect 2,000 government offices in Tamil Nadu over a period of two years, Tulip said in a statement.

The company will also be responsible for extending uninterrupted data, voice, Internet, video conferencing and video streaming services to all the connecting offices, it added.

The total value of the project is over Rs 74 crore, the statement said.    

ELCOT is a wholly-owned Tamil Nadu government undertaking. It was established with the main objective to promote, establish and run state public sector enterprises for electronic items.
