Welspun Corp, the flagship company of the $3.5 billion Welspun Group, has won pipes and plates orders worth Rs 923 crore from international and domestic markets.

With the addition of these orders, the current orderbook of the company stands at Rs 5,377 crore without excluding the order being executed in the current quarter.

B K GOenka, chairman, Welspun, spoke about the new orders, "Continuity of the orders from the export markets further strengthens Welspun's global positioning and is testimony to our enduring emphasis on engineering excellence."

Welspun Corp's scrip on BSE was trading at Rs 125, up 0.08%, at 0945 hours.
