Cheil Worldwide?s Alok Agrawal to take charge

Barun Das, the chief executive officer of Subhash Chandra-promoted Ltd (ZNL), has put in his papers at the company, ending his five years stint with the company. It is learnt from the highly placed sources that Alok Agrawal, who had in August as COO of South West Asia, will replace Das as the new of the news broadcaster.

Das had joined in late 2007 as the youngest of any news network in India. Das holds a B.Tech from IIT-Madras, a PG diploma from IIM-Calcutta and is an alumnus of London School of Economics (LSE). He was EVP at Media Content & Communications Services (MCCS), the company that runs ABP News, ABP Majha and ABP Ananda (Earlier Star News, Star Majha andStar Ananda) prior to joining ZNL.

He has also worked with Astro All Asia Networks Plc and India Today Group. It is learnt that he will turn entrepreneur, though he was not reachable till the time of filing this report.

Meanwhile, prior to Cheil Worldwide, Agrawal has worked with Bates, Grey Worldwide and Euro RSCG India. He also hold a graduate degree from IIT Kanpur and MBA from IIM Bangalore.
