A member of the Indian parliament wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday urging him to cap the prices of 20 medical devices to bring down hospitalisation costs and make healthcare more affordable. The letter follows government decisions earlier this year to cap prices of two other medical devices - knee implants and cardiac stents - which did not go down well with many in the healthcare industry.
