The state Cabinet, which met here on Friday, has deferred a decision on adopting the proposed land acquisition policy due to lack of consensus among the ministers.

With some ministers expressing reservations over certain aspects of the draft policy document, the chief minister has reportedly decided to refer the matter to a Cabinet sub-committee to make relevant changes.
