BHIM app breaks all records, crosses 18 million downloads

Indigenous digital payments app BHIM, which the government launched in December 2016 for fast and secure cashless transactions, has recorded 18 million downloads so far, CEO said on Friday.

The Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM) app was launched on the iOS platform. It is also available on the more popular Android platform.

On December 30, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the app for fast and secure cashless transactions using mobile phones.
