CIL signs supply pacts with 14 power plants

So far, Coal India (CIL) has signed supply pacts with 14 power plants for the supply of fossil fuel, while some have refused to sign it, objecting to some of the clauses of the model fuel supply agreement. Power producer NTPC is among the companies that have refused to sign the agreement. Meanwhile, the government today said it had asked CIL to consider NTPC’s request for signing the fuel supply pact with the revised minimum fuel supply level for new units of its existing plants.
