Gujarat Exports Likely To Fall 30% This Year: Gcci

Exports of diamonds, drugs, dyes and dyestuff, textiles, marine products, castor oil and engineering goods from Gujarat would be severely hit because of the specter of war looming over ahead and there is a strong possibility of a slump to the tune of 20 to 30 per cent in the total exports of the State.

Disclosing this, Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI) vice-president Mahendra A Shah said that Gujarat exports diamonds worth Rs 36,000 crore every year to the US, which has drastically declined in the last 10 days following the terrorist bombings in US.
