To assess how economies perform, the IMD World Talent Ranking studies three factors. First, the investment and development factor which measures the resources committed to cultivate home-grown talent.

Second, the appeal factor that evaluates the ability to attract and retain talent. And third, the readiness factor that quantifies the quality of the available skills in the talent pool.
