The proposed LNG terminal at Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh is moving on a fast track with the consortium partners likely to sign the collaboration agreement in January.

The Kakinada Indian Oil Consortium, comprising Indian Oil Corporation, BP Asia Pacific Inc, Petronas and Kakinada Seaports Ltd (earlier known as Cocanada Port Company), had signed up for the project during the partnership summit organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry in January 2001.
