Rajkot invites biz interest in sustainable development

Urban development projects of the Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) has drawn interest from a global business leaders' delegation. RMC officials recently met a delegation of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) for exploration of business opportunities.

The meeting was held to apprise the delegation on various projects of urban development taken up by the municipal corporation. "We are open for business ties with the delegation if they want to invest in our urban development related projects. We are also ready if the delegation comes up with public privet partnership (PPP) or BOT based proposals," said Dinesh Brahmbhatt, municipal commissioner, RMC.

RMC officials made presentation before the delegation which included the city's growth, ongoing developmental projects and also on investment potentials in the city. Rajkot Municipal Commissioner had also informed the delegation that RMC was focusing on four areas like long term water management, mass transportation, energy efficiency and modern infrastructure.
