The three most common disorders are (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia), Prostatitis and Cancer. Many a times after the age of 45 years, due to hormonal changes the gland starts growing again. This causes problem in urination and more, the said condition is called (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia). Prostatitis is inflammation of the gland due to infection and more. Finally Cancer which is one of the most common types of cancer amongst men is another common disorder associated with the It can be defined as a malignant tumour in the gland.

(Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia) is mostly treated through medication. In less severe cases only life style changes can do the trick whereas in severe cases doctor may recommend surgery. Prostatitis can be of different types bacterial or non-bacterial. Depending upon the type the condition is treated either through doses of antibiotics or other line of medication. Finally depending upon the stage and more the treatment for cancer may include Chemotherapy, Surgery, Radiation therapy, Hormone therapy, Cryotherapy, Vaccine treatment and more.

Tips for a Healthy Prostate

Men, especially over the age of 50 years should be prostate-aware and take extra care. The first tip to reduce risk of problems is to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Certain food products that are rich in vitamin C, D, E and other minerals like broccoli, turmeric, soy bean, legume, green tea are believed to provide protection again cancer and other problems. Controlling cholesterol and cutting down on consumption of fats also helps. Regular exercise for maintaining optimal health, Yoga, spinal and pelvic massages that improve blood circulation to the gland and a healthy sex life can also improve health. Taking ample amount of rest can also help lower the risk of disorders and problems.
