McDonald's quarterly US comparable sales beat estimates

Net income rose to $1.88 bn in the third quarter ended September 30, from $1.28 billion, a year earlier


McDonald's Corp reported a bigger-than-expected increase in quarterly US comparable sales on Tuesday as offers such as $1 beverages and its McPick 2 for $5 promotion helped attract more diners.
