Jubilant Life, Syngene International, Essel Propack, Shemaroo hit 52-week high

Bharat Electronics, PFC, TVS Electronics, Balmer Lawrie & Co and Voltamp Transformers were among 14 stocks that hit 52-week high on the BSE in intra-day trade

Jubilant Life, Syngene International, Essel Propack, Shemaroo hit 52-week high

Jubilant Life Sciences, Syngene International, Essel Propack, Shemaroo Entertainment, and Power Finance Corporation (PFC) are among 14 stocks from the BSE500 and Smallcap index hitting their respective 52-week highs on the BSE on Wednesday.

TVS Electronics, Voltamp Transformers, Balmer Lawrie & Co, Garware-Wall Rope, Jubilant Industries, Nesco, Kushal Tradelink and SRS Real Infrastructure too touched 52-week high in intra-day trade today.


TVS Electronics locked in upper circuit for the third straight consecutive day, up 10% at Rs 177, also its record high on the BSE. In the past six trading sessions, the stock zoomed 95% from Rs 91 on November 22.

On Tuesday, November 29, Amandeep Dilip Arora, an investor, bought 300,000 shares representing 1.61% stake of TVS Electronics at an average price of Rs 159.44 per share via open market.

Earlier, on Monday, Rohan Hegde, an investor, bought 96,162 shares or 0.52% stake in the company through open market transaction. He purchased these shares at the average price of Rs 138.21, the NSE bulk deal data shows.

too hit a lifetime high of Rs 411, up 12% on BSE in intra-day trade. Since October 26, post July-September 2016 (Q2FY17) results, the stock rallied 30% against 5.9% decline in the S&P BSE Sensex.

The company posted 35.6% year on year (YoY) jump in its consolidated net profit at Rs 15 crore on back of 20.9% YoY rise in total income of Rs 114 crore in Q2FY17.

EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization) margin expanded 250 basis points to 28.2% compared to 25.70% last year. The improving share of digital media continued to drive up the operating margins for the company.

touched a new high of Rs 264, up 6% on the BSE in early morning trade. In past one-month, the stock was up 9% as compared to 5.2% fall in the benchmark index.

The company while announcing Q2FY17 results said, the non- oral care revenue demand picked up in India with high double digit growth. The non-oral care share in the revenue composition improved by 1.2% compared to last year, helped by strong growth in cosmetic and pharma categories.

Underlying demand is strong in the America region & with Colombia plant stabilising thru December, the region should deliver to budget by Q-4, it added.

New product like Mystik (Hair Colorant Tubes) and GML (100% recyclable tubes) are being received with huge interest by the customers, which should strengthen the growth pipeline for the next financial year.

Voltamp Transformers up 10% to Rs 1,003 on the BSE in intra-day trade. The stock gained 25% in past three weeks after reported three-fold jump in net profit at Rs 21 crore in Q2FY17. The company had profit of Rs 6.78 crore in the same quarter last year. EBITDA margin improved 320 basis points to 7.32% compared to 4.14% last year.
