Asian markets were trading higher as attention shifted to the central bankers' symposium in Jackson

Indian equity, forex, money and commodity will remain closed today on account of  

The benchmark indices ended flat on Thursday as investors awaited Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen and European Central Bank President Mario Draghi to speak at central banking conference in Jackson Hole.   

The closed at 31,596, up 28 points, while the broader Nifty50 settled at 9,857, up 4 points. 

Meanwhile, were trading higher as attention shifted to the central bankers' symposium in Jackson Hole. 

MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan was about 0.1% lower, set to end the week 1.25% higher. The MSCI World index .was steady, heading for a 0.65% weekly gain.

Japan's Nikkei climbed 0.25% on track for a loss of 0.4% for the week.

South Korea's KOSPI was little changed and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 index slipped 0.3%.

Overnight, indexes closed between 0.1% and 0.2% lower as a rift between US President Donald Trump and Congress appeared to widen.
