Wall Street ticks up after jobs data

US stocks opened slightly higher on Friday after data showed the economy added more jobs than forecast in February in a sign the economic recovery was broadening.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 16.88 points, or 0.13%, to 12,924.82. The S&P 500 Index gained 2.09 points, or 0.15%, to 1,368.00. The Nasdaq Composite rose 4.86 points, or 0.16%, to 2,975.28.
