5.3-magnitude earthquake jolts Afghanistan

An earthquake of 5.3 on the Richter scale struck Afghanistan's on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake occurred 42 kilometres South of Jarm, at a depth of 204.2 km depth.

The tremor reportedly occurred at around 01:40 p.m. local time.

No loss of lives and properties have been reported so far.
