Belligerent India threatening regional peace, security: Pak FO

ANI  |  Islamabad [Pakistan]

Pakistan's Foreign Office on Thursday claimed that regional peace and security could be compromised both in the short and long term by India's belligerence.

Addressing media here, Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria charged Indian troops with frequently violating the ceasefire on the Line of Control and the International Boundary.

Radio quoted him, as saying that has violated the ceasefire arrangement on 542 occasions this year in which eighteen civilians had died.

He said the community and the United Nations have also expressed concern over the situation on the border between the two nations, and added that believes in the resolution of all issues through dialogue.

He said is considering India's request for the grant of visa to the mother of Kulbushan Yadav.

Zakaria said believes that there is no military solution to issue, only a politically negotiated settlement which is led and owned.
