CBI arrests NDMC inspector in bribery case

The (CBI) today arrested an Inspector of the Municipal Council (NDMC) for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 5,000 from a complainant, who is a street hawker.

A case was registered following the complaint's statement that the inspector, posted at Connaught Place in New Delhi, was allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs. 8,000 from him for allowing him to carry on his business in the area.
