The wait is finally over!
The speculations of Sridevi's daughter Janhvi Kapoor being introduced by Karan Johar and to be starred opposite Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khatter in the Hindi remake of 'Sairat' has been rife for quite some time now.
And KJo decided to put an end to the rumours in style. The filmmaker took to Twitter to share the poster of the upcoming film titled 'Dhadak', co-starring Janhvi and Ishaan in key roles.
The film is being helmed by Shashank Khaitaan.
Earlier in the day, he gave a hint through a video that after introducing Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan, he will be unveiling two newcomers in a movie.
Karan captioned the video stating, "Today is a very special day @DharmaMovies ... here's why."
The makers will be setting this film against the backdrop of caste politics and honour killings in Haryana. The original film was set in Maharastra and had won many awards.
The flick is slated to release on July 6, next year.
