Three killed in cross firing between BSF, cattle smugglers

At least three people died after (BSF) troopers opened fired when they were attacked by cattle smugglers armed with machetes, in the bordering northeastern state on Friday.

Two others, who were injured in the firing at Chitabari around 200 km south from capital Agartala, were admitted in Subroom hospital.

The three civilians were killed on the spot were identified as Parakumar (40), Man Kumar (30) and Swaralaxmi (40) and the injured were identified as (47) and Jiban Kumar (22).

The bodies of the deceased have been kept in the morgue at Subroom hospital for post-mortem.
