The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has hailed Chief Minister K.
Chandrasekhar Rao as the 'real hero' for ignoring threats to his life and achieving statehood for Telangana despite all odds.
Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy said KCR proved all those of the opinion that statehood for Telanagana was not possible wrong.
"Sacrifices of our youth and KCR's fast-unto-death forced the UPA government to grant statehood to Telangana. We achieved our just demand," he said, adding the formation of Telangana accelerated development in Andhra Pradesh.
Rao had begun his indefinite fast on November 29, 2009.
