The United Kingdom is prepared to supply arms to the Kurdish forces fighting the Islamic State militants in Northern Iraq.
According to the BBC, France and the United States are already providing arms to the Kurds in Northern part of Iraq.
The Islamic State has captured large swathes of Iraq and Syria.
A meeting will be held in Brussels on Friday amongst European Union foreign ministers including the UK Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond to discuss the issue.
