Tom Alter, who is known for great acting skills and his off-beat choice of movies, believes there is no place more beautiful than Gulmarg and that it is way beyond heaven.
The 66-year-old-actor, while talking to ANI said, "After 60 years, I came back to Gulmarg. I was six when I first came here. Yeh Jannat nahi, Jannat se aage hai. We have masjid, temple, gurudwara and church in one village. This is not just Kashmiriyat, this is Hindustaniyat."
The actor, who is a part of the movie, feels that people will get to see such beauty of Kashmir in 'Sargoshiyan,' which people might not have seen earlier.
When asked if he would come again to work in Kashmir, Tom shared, "For sure, I will come back to Kashmir. I hope we could work more in Kashmir and I feel many doors will open through this movie. The way Jammu and Kashmir Bank, Department of Tourism and the people of Kashmir have supported us, I don't think we could have shot so easily in any other state. It feels really amazing."
'Sargoshiyan' is the first Bollywood film to be premiered in Srinagar and claims to have captured the soul and culture of Kashmir.
The movie, which has been extensively shot in Kashmir, drew huge crowds and applause during its premiere.
The film will be released on May 19 and will be screened in around 500 theatres across India.
The flick is based on Kashmiri culture and brotherhood.
Kashmir at present has no cinema halls and it is only after decades that Kashmiris have got a chance to see a Bollywood movie on screen at the SKICC.
