Likely formation of a depression in Bay of Bengal with associated heavy rainfalls in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha on December 07 and 08, 2017.
Due to this rivers in North Konkan, North Madhya Maharashtra and Gujarat State are likely to rise rapidly. The likely impact of these rains as inferred from rainfall runoff model run for three days advisory forecast is likely rapid rise in the river levels in the following basins as under:

General vigil may be kept in these catchment areas in the districts of Gajapati, Rayagada, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram for rapid rise in water levels.
Indravathi and Sabari Basins of Godavari Basin: Rains in South Odisha and Noth Coastal Andhra Pradesh may lead to rise in water levels of Sabari basins in Nowrangpur, Malkangiri,Koraput and East Godavari districts.
Krishna and its tributaries: River Krishna and its tributaries such as Paleru, Munneru, Wyra alongwith main Krishna downstream of Pulichintala may get inflows in association with the rainfall in Krishna and Guntur districts of Andhra Pradesh.
