Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought stocks worth a net Rs 355.75 crore from the secondary equity markets on 22 September 2016, higher than their purchases of Rs 240.04 crore during the preceding trading session on 21 September 2016. The net inflow of Rs 355.75 crore on 22 September 2016 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4765.52 crore and gross sales of Rs 4409.77 crore. There was net inflow of Rs 22168.40 crore from FPIs into the category 'primary markets & others' in calendar year 2015.
