Net outflow of Rs 332.98 crore on 16 April 2018

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 332.98 crore into the secondary equity markets on 16 April 2018, as compared to net outflow of Rs 370.76 crore on 13 April 2018. On 16 April 2018, the Sensex rose 112.78 points or 0.33% to settle at 34,305.43, its highest closing level since 27 February 2018.

The net outflow of Rs 332.98 crore from the secondary equity markets on 16 April 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3933.98 crore and gross sales of Rs 4266.96 crore.

There was a net outflow of Rs 15.63 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 16 April 2018, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 0.50 crore and gross sales of Rs 16.13 crore.

have sold stocks worth a net Rs 928.90 crore into the secondary equity markets in calendar 2018 so far (till 16 April 2018). They bought stocks worth a net Rs 9768.38 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar 2017.

have bought stocks worth a net Rs 13424.72 crore from the primary market & others' category in calendar 2018 so far (till 16 April 2018). They bought stocks worth a net Rs 41485.09 crore from the primary market & others' category in calendar 2017.
