Turnover on NSE's F&O segment jumps

The May 2017 on the 50 index traded at 9436, a premium of 6.55 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 9429.45 in the cash market.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's & options (F&O) segment jumped to Rs 8.65 lakh crore from Rs 4.42 lakh crore registered during previous trading session.

In the cash market, the 50 index fell 96.30 points or 1.01% to settle at 9,429.45, its lowest closing level since 12 May 2017.

CESC, Tata Steel, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India and DLF were the top traded individual stock contracts in F&O segment of CESC May 2017 traded at 818.15, at a premium over spot closing of 816.25. Tata Steel May 2017 traded at 487.50, at a premium over spot closing of 486. ICICI Bank May 2017 traded at 306.80, at a premium over spot closing of 307.50.

State Bank of India May 2017 traded at 301.70, at a discount over spot closing of 302. DLF May 2017 traded at 207.20, at a premium over spot closing of 206.85.

The May 2017 F&O contracts will expire on 25 May 2017.
