At least 24 persons were killed and many injured when a passenger bus plunged into a deep gorge in northern Philippines on Tuesday, police said.
According to police, the bus carrying more than 50 passengers crashed in Capintalan village in Nueva Ecjia province, Xinhua news agency reported. Police said the bus was speeding when the accident happened.
Some passengers were rescued and sent to a nearby hospital.
