Former Defence Minister A. K. Antony on Satuday condoled the demise of Marshal of the Indian Air Force Arjan Singh as a national loss and said that he was an inspiration for the entire armed forces.
"Can not compare his bravery with any of the warrior. It's a national loss. He was very experinced, dedicated and a legend of Indian Air Force," Antony said.
Arjan Singh breathed his last at the Army Hospital here on Saturday evening following cardiac arrest. He was 98.
Antony said that Arjan Singh's compassion for the entire armed forces was invaluable.
"He contributed a lot for the benefit of entire armed forces. He was an inspiration for the entire force. I salute to the great warrior of our country," he said.
He said that Arjan Singh till his death acted as Marshal of Indian Air Force.
"He never showed physical weakness in any of the official functions. He was one of the greatest Indian I have personal contacts," Antony said.
