Bribery complaint against former AIMPLB member

A complaint was lodged against former (AIMPLB) member Maulana here on Thursday for allegedly demanding a Rs 5,000 crore as bribe to get the dispute solved in favour of the Hindus, police said.

The complaint was filed in the station by Sadbhavna Samiti's (ASS) Amarnath Mishra, who heads the 'samjhauta varta prabhari', and also accused had sought 200 acres land and a seat in the Rajya Sabha.

He also said that the meeting was held at the Nadwa seminary in presence of Haji Masroor Khan, who has endorsed the charges.

Police said they were probing the matter and appropriate action would be taken after that.
